 Mohun Bagan 3-1 Mohammedan AC  (Ashim,Jerry,Sunil ; Benjamin) : Mohun Bagan came back from one goal deficit to pump in 3 goals . The treat of the match was the superb inside jab from young Jerry Zirasanga off a running ball from Noel. East Bengal coach Subhas Bhoumick was seen to leave the gallery after the Jerry's goal , waving to the gallery .

09.07.2004.  Mohun Bagan defeats Wari FC 2-0. Basudeb Mondal & Sunil Chettri were the scorers . All the new comers , especially Noel Wilson impressed all .Eduardo Chacon too had a good game.

06.07.2004 : Dutchman Frank Eijs failed to impress the coach & will be leaving for trials in Germany . New Brazilian Striker Regis will be arriving shortly . Our foreign recruit Eduardo Chacon set joined the team . The first match in the Calcutta Super Division League is on 9th July vs. Wari.

05.07.2004: Manitombi Singh will lead Mohun Bagan in the ensuing season. Ashim Biswas will be his deputy,as the ever dependable Renedy Singh departed for Eveready Association .Shyamal Banerjee was named assistant coach.
The Best Player , judged by Ashok Chatterjee,Pratap Ghosh,Pradip Chowdhury, Manash Bhattacharjee and Mangal Purakayastha will receive the Dhiren Dey Memorial Trophy plus an award of Rs 25,000. Sailen Manna and Chuni Goswami along with coach Subrata Bhattacharya will play advisory roles in the selection.

19.06.2004: Star Studded Match in Bagan : A star studded match was played out between the Celebrity XI & the Media XI  in the Mohun Bagan grounds.Bengali filmstars & singers like Srikanta Acharya ,Shilajit,Indranil Sen all played their hearts out . Babul Supriya came all the way from Mumbai to play this match & infact score a goal . The celebrites won 2-1 . Surojit Sengupta scored for the media men & Prasun Bannerjee showed that his left leg magic still exists !
Mohun Bagan is the Number One Club in India !! In the recently published AIFF rankings Mohun Bagan topped the table with 65 points followed by East Bengal on 55 . Rankings were calculated taking the performances from 1996 into account.
