ROY BARRETO CHIEF COACH OF MB ACADEMY; MB 5-CCFC 2

May 6: Portugese coach Roy Barreto has been appointed as coach of Mohun Bagan Academy. He was previously the coach of Zimbabwe national team. www.mohunbaganclub.com played a crucial role in roping in this Portugese coach. He had various successful stints with the top clubs in South Africa and was also associated with Tottenham Hotspur, Bayern Leverkusen, Aston Villa and other famous clubs. Shyam Thapa will be the Technical Director of Academy. DETAILS

May 7: MB has defeated CCFC in a 5 a side exhibition match held today in CCFC ground by 5-2. For MohunBagan, Kartick Kisku scored twice while Lalkamal, Lalamrua and Habibur scored 1 each. DETAILS

KAHN TO PLAY HIS LAST MATCH AGAINST MB

Bayern Munich s visit would be part of a 10-day post season tour of Asia, according to the German soccer giants' website. City based housing and infrastructure company Bengal Peerless is organising the match to be staged at Yuba Bharati Krirangan. IFA secretary Utpal Ganguly has already sent a letter of approval to the AIFF following a request from Bengal Peerless. The website quoted Bayern chairman, Karl-Heinz Rumenigge as saying the club will field a high quality team.

    Mar 19: Speculations were on for about a month that he will take over from Carlos as new coach but the official procedure was still left and it took place today in Delhi. He will take charge from June 1, thus his presence during the Bayern Munich match on May 27th looks uncertain. It is reported that he will get 36 lakhs along with well furnished flat, car etc. It is to be noted that under Kareem churchill performed quite well this year with lot of youngsters. It is to be seen whether he can perform the same for Mohun Bagan, the National Club of India with quite a few talented TFA players already recruited by Bagan officials.

As part of the celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the Independence of Mauritius a triangular tournament will be held over the coming 10 days will be taken Mauritius, Madagascar and Mohun Bagan AC, the national club of India.  The fixture-
9th March - Mauritius 0 VS Madagascar 1
11th March - Madagascar 1 VS Mohun Bagan AC 0
14th March - Mauritius 2 VS Mohun Bagan AC 2
   

Mar 7: Mohun Bagan though played valiant football lost to Santos as they missed a number of chances and Rauf Khan made many blunders. Rauf Khan can be directly blamed for at least three goals and Sangram was also responsible for at least two goals. Mohun Bagan from start attacked with vigor and was continuously putting pressure on Santos. In the initial phase of the game, Baichung and Odafa missed easy chances to score. James was playing very well at this time. Against run of play, Santos scored.
