:: Could you please tell us about this UEFA 'B' Course in detail. For whom is this course meant? Where will the program be exactly held? Who all will be conducting the program? What is the duration of the entire program?
The UEFA B course is designed for
professional coaches.This training will enable a coach to learn and apply modern football tenchniques. The
training is basically meant for football professionals having enough experiences on field. The program will held at Kent, London.
The duration of the programme is 16 days approx.
:: How did you get this opportunity for this enhancement program?
Well, I got the golden oppurtunity by selection of the Programme
Comittee, my name and biodata was forwarded by one of my cousin residing at London, he is en eminent
physician there.
:: Once you get this license, you would be one of the most highly qualified coaches in India. (The only other UEFA B holder in India is Vivek Nagul who is associated with Mahindra United). How would you like to help Indian Football with your experience in the near future?
After I acheive the license, I believe I can share & apply my
knowledge in developing the wholesome Indian Football Scenario by bringing in more professional and modern day outlook into the game.
:: Sir Alex Fergusson holds an UEFA
License degree, and now you will be having an UEFA B License. How do you feel? Would you like to go for a higher qualification?
Yeah I am quite excited about the
whole programme and let's see what future has in store for me. I really
has lot of plans for myself and also for Indian football.
:: What are your near immediate plans ?
Regarding my near immediate plans, first priority is to be the best in the course.
:: There are lots of allegations against Indian Coaches. People say that Indian coaches are not successful with
average team (for ex: Subrata Bhattacharya, Subhash Bhowmick, Derek Perreira, Armando Colaco
have not been successful with moderately good teams). What would say to this ?
See, Men like Subrata Bhattacharya, Subhash Bhoumick are my gurus, and I have learnt a lot from them. Hence I
do not think that i am qualified enough to criticize these men. I am a
student now, let me gather knowledge. After that I will try my level best
to contribute as much as I can to Indian football.
:: What are your suggestions to the coaching fraternity of India ?
Well, let me complete my course,
I will be more than glad to share my experiences with the coaching fraternity of India
