Mohun Bagan supporters have started raising fund for donating a Lawn Mower for the football ground. Over the past three weeks, a lot of research and planning has taken place in order to raise fund for this initiative. Fans have started donating money for the same.
The fans had a discussion with the club officials for the same. The club officials recommended the AL-KO Model Silver 51B Comfort, 3.4 HP, 51 CM , 25-75 MM 65 Ltr Lawn mower for the same.
This is the second such activity in recent times by Mohun Bagan fans.
Fund collected as on 21st December 2009 – Rs. 15000/-
Earlier in November 2009 Mohun Bagan fans, mostly from the Yahoo Group http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/mohunbaganclub/ raised fund in less than 48 hours and donated the club with gym equipments worth Rs. 53000.
The Head coach Mr. Karim Bencharifa and the cl officials were very happy with the equipment presented by the fans. Officials have told mohunbaganclub.com that the club will come up with a Gymnasium and the equipment will be right there in the Gymnasium. This was a gift by the fans after the team poured in 5 goals against rivals East Bengal that put an end of 34 years of hurt.
A Mohun Bagan Fan Club have been successfully restored and reinstalled the bench that was part of the history in February 2008.
