Mariners retain the Sahara Kolkata Pemier League 2008-09 as MBSFA wins the third match ina row in U-19 iLeague. In a Derby match, Mohun Bagan shared points with Kingfisher East Bengal. Jose Barreto scored from a penalty after Tulunga was pulled down by Nirmal Chettry in the 24th minute of the game. In Jamshedpur, Mohun Bagan Sail Football Academy 2-1 against JCT Academy in 5th JUNIOR (u-19) Football Tournament. This was the 2nd win in a row by MBSFA. Earlier MBSFA won against Salgaokar by 5 goals to 1. MBSFA leads the table of Group D. The academy boys will meet Air India on 12th September 2008. MOHUNBAGAN U-12 TEAM ACHIEVE 12TH POSITION IN DANONE NATIONS CUP

On Sunday Mohunbagan U-12 lost to the South African team after losing to the Czech Club in the pre-quarter final. Mohun Bagan got 12th position among the 200 teams participating in this tournament, and 40 teams around the world qualified for the final round in Paris. In this tournament, held worldwide for the U-12 footballers, the team from France defeated the team from Russia on road to become the Champions. The team from Japan is only the Asian team which got placed above Mohunbagan.The performance of Mohunbagan U-12, under supervision of the Chief Coach Mr. Amiya Ghosh, is really commendable for Indian football. Among the players of the team Mohunbagan, Anubrata Das, the boy from Howrah, West Bengal drew attention of the experts for his skills.
