Sankar Oraon and Aibor Khonjee signed today to play for Mohun Bagan in the new season.Aibor is retained by Mohun Bagan, while former academy boy Sankar Oraon came from United SC. Though United had the issue with this transfer earlier. But lastly , all the problem solved and Sankar signed today for Mariners.
11 Players sign for Mohun Bagan.
Today 11 players went to IFA office to sign on behalf of Mohun Bagan. The list includes Shilton Paul, Denson Devdas, Ravinder Singh, Deepak Somnath, Manish Bhargav, Kingshuk Debnath, Rana Ghorami, Rajib Ghorui, Ram Mallick, Pankaj Moula and C. S. Sabeeth.
The first day of the new season
Mohun Bagan senior team had their first training session today at the club’s ground. 19 players attended the session under Coach Mridul Banerjee
The players who were there in the session were-
Sandip Nandy, Shilton Paul, Bubai Singh, Rowilson Rodrigues, Kingshuk Debnath, Ravinder Singh, Rana Ghorami, Adil Khan, Manish Bhargav, Denson Devadas, Anthony Pereira, Ram Mallick, Rajib Ghorui, Arghya Chakraborty, Katsumi Yusa, Pratesh Rai, Pankaj Maula, CS Sabeeth and Shankar Oraon. Many of these players are from MB Academy.
One must remember that Mridul Banerjee ( donning a blue jersey today) has signed for Mohun Bagan keeping the payment part as blank. Banerjee won many hearts by this gesture and mariners are dreaming to do well under Karim and Mridul.
