Press Release from the club to announce Bhowmik back in charge.

The Technical Committee of Mohun Bagan Athletic Club comprising of ex-players of the Club; namely Mr Sibaji Banerjee, Mr Compton Dutta and Mr Satyajit Chatterjee met today along with Directors of United Mohun Bagan Football Team Pvt Ltd, Mr. Srinjoy Bose and Mr. Debashis Dutta and Mr Uttam Saha, Hony Football Secretary of the Club.

After a detailed discussion, ex-international footballer and renowned football coach, Mr Subhash Bhowmick was nominated to be the Technical Director of the McDowell Mohun Bagan Football Team for the 2014-2015 season.

Meanwhile mohunbaganclub.com learned that discussion with Bastob Roy for Asst. of Subhash Bhowmik is on the table. The agreement is not yet inked.

There will be a trial from 23rd to 25th May 2014 at mohun Bagan Athletic club ground. Any player who was born on or later than 1/1/1998 can apply. Selected players will be trained at MBSFA Durgapur. Application Fees can be collected from 26th April 2014 to 16th May 2014 from 12 noon to 4 PM excepting on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Last date of form submission – 16/5/2014

Mohun Bagan’s Technical Committee has been announced. The committee includes Shibaji Banerjee, Compton Dutta and Satyajit Chatterjee. The Committee is expected to decide upon the coach for the next season.

mohunbaganclub.com has learned that few Mohun Bagan supporters clashed with some other supporters in the club premises today. mohunbaganclub.com condemns the whole incident and requests the supporters not to take the club tent for granted.

This morning during the "BAR PUJA" a section of supporters had a verbal spat with one of the officials. The supporters questioned his accountability and the official responded back – not in a nicely manner.  When asked when the team will win the next trophy, the official was  sarcastic and mentioned that one should buy a trophy instead.

 

The supporters were angry and they protested vehemently.

Later on another official asked them to behave and soon two goons  in the form of supporters allegedly close to the present dispensation at Mohun Bagan Club beat up a few supporters who were protesting against the failure on the part of the management to bring success to the club as the officials asked whether RAF will be called or not.

Later the local PS was informed and police officials visited the club tent. Nobody lodged any complaint with the police. However, it is still unclear who were these two goons and where did they go after the incident took place?

However, one of the officials was found apologetic for the whole incident.
